It's a waste of time trying to explain yourself when you are still on the journey.

Not every instruction God gives you will make sense to the people around you. Some assignments from God will look like foolishness until the results begin to speak.

How do you explain to people that God told you not to apply for another job when they see you struggling to pay rent, borrowing money, or even lacking food? They will call you lazy. They will say you are irresponsible. They will think you are making excuses because all they can see is your present situation.

How do you explain that you are praying, fasting, trusting God, and believing for His promises when everything around you looks like failure? They don't see your private prayers. They don't see the tears you've cried before God. They don't know the sacrifices you've made in obedience. They only see what is visible.

That is why wisdom sometimes is to remain silent.

Joseph could not explain the dreams God gave him. David could not explain why he was anointed king while still taking care of sheep. Noah could not explain why he was building an ark when there had never been rain. Abraham could not fully explain why he left everything familiar to follow God's voice. They simply obeyed.

People often judge you based on where you are today, while God is working based on where He is taking you tomorrow.

If God has spoken to you, don't waste your energy trying to convince everyone that you heard Him. Protect what God has placed in your heart. Continue obeying Him even when obedience looks expensive. Continue trusting Him even when nothing around you seems to be changing.

There are seasons when your greatest sermon is silence. Let your consistency in obeying God speak louder than your explanations.

The day God fulfills His word, you won't need to defend yourself anymore. The testimonies will answer the questions. The results will silence the mockery. The fruit of your obedience will speak louder than every argument you could have made.

Stay faithful. Stay obedient. Stay patient.

God has never abandoned those who truly follow His voice. In His perfect time, what people mocked will become the very testimony they celebrate.

Israel had annoyed God seriously. They were sacrificing babies, engaging in temple segs, consulting mediums and doing everything God told them not to do. So God allowed Babylon to massacre and exile them.

Edom, also fed up with the shennanigans, felt that Israel totally deserved their punishment. They didnt just watch from afar when Babylon came, they aided the siege and the attack. They helped to plunder the city, they caught the Israelis who were escaping, killed some and and sent some back and they cheered as the city was massacred. Good riddance!

Later, when the dust had long settled, God sent Prophet Obadiah, to speak very serious judgement against Edom.

(Obadiah 1:10)
Because you violently slaughtered your relatives,the people of Jacob, shame will cover you, and you will be destroyed forever.
11 You stood aloof while strangers took his army captive, and foreigners advanced to his gates. When they cast lots over Jerusalem, you behaved as though you were in league with them.
12 You should not have gloated when your relative suffered calamity. You should not have rejoiced over the people of Judah when they were destroyed. You should not have boasted when they suffered adversity.
13 You should not have entered the city of my people when they experienced distress. You should not have joined in gloating over their misfortune when they suffered distress. You should not have looted their wealth when they endured distress.
14 You should not have stood at the fork in the road to slaughter those trying to escape. You should not have captured their refugees when they suffered adversity.
15. For the day of the Lord is approaching for all the nations! Just as you have done, so it will be done to you. You will get exactly what your deeds deserve.

Wue! God's justice is never one sided. Even as he judges and punishes someone and you are thankful that He is dealing with the wicked or fighting for you, watch your own attitude and actions towards it. Do not join in. Stay away and let God do His thing

If you are too tempted to join in, to rub it in and to celebrate, take your jembe and go dig in the shamba, but do not join in the massacre and plunder, even if they deserved every inch of it.

Let it inform your attitude when people are punished. When ministers are exposed and churches fall. When prominent and wealthy people crumble. When politicians fail. When relatives suffer the consequences of their ways even when God deals with your haters. Do not brag, boast, throw stones and be ruthless. Do not overdo! Watch yourself! Stay protected but stay humble.

Let go and let God!

God is not done with them, He still has grace for them. Dont kill and bury them, as though you are perfect and faultless.

After preaching to his generation for 120 years, he had a whooping 8 people who believed and went into the ark. All of them, his family members 🥺. Actually 7 because he was the 8th. In the scale of results, what would we call this? DISMAL!

Its like having a You tube channel for 10 years and the only subscriber is your mother. Would you keep going? Would you still believe that you are doing something that matters to anyone?

Like holding political campaigns and the only 3 people in attendance are your siblings. Would you ever have the courage to have a rally again or would you dissappear in stupendous embarrassment?

His ministry was neither flambuoyant, nor popular. He had no phenomenal numbers. No massive conversions to write about. No amazing musicians, media and sound effects. Nobody was lining up to connect with him and call him their spiritual father. No impressive networks. He had no crazy supernatural manifestations, no demons that give interviews through the microphone ...and yet, his ministry was succesful to God. He is referenced as a stellar success and an example of faith and patience

We all want to be like Peter, whose shadow is healing the sick. Who is the talk of the town. We want to be people whose impact is rocking and impressing nations. We have come to think that if God is in something, it will be flambuoyant. It even leads us to apply gimmicks and impress men so that we can get their attention and involvement.

Sometimes though, Gods purpose requires us to be hidden, alone and simply faithful. Would you stay faithful during your obscure seasons? Do you interpret the praise of men to be the praise of God, so much that if men are not clapping, you quit? Have you abandoned something that God instructed you to do because of this?

Lord, please help me to stay faithful to your will and purpose for me, even if it means that I must be obscure or unimpressive to people: either for a season, or until you take me home! Help me to stay the course and seek your approval and applause, more than I seek the admiration and praise of men.

KING SOLOMON WAS RIGHT: A Woman’s CHARACTER DETERMINES THE FATE OF A HOUSEHOLD

King Solomon, famed for his wisdom, wrote not about love, but about the foundations of life itself.
He understood that a man’s legacy—his peace, his fortune, and his honor—depends far more on the woman at his side than on his own ambition alone.

Marriage, Solomon warned, is not a story of romance.
It is a measure of judgment and discernment.

1. She Brings Wisdom—or She Brings Ruin

Solomon observed that some women are like calm rivers: they nourish, sustain, and strengthen.
Others are like storms: unpredictable, consuming, and destructive.

A woman who lacks wisdom—who speaks without thought, acts without purpose, or craves attention over loyalty—will slowly erode the pillars of a household.

Solomon’s proverbs make it clear:

Charm can be deceptive.

Beauty is fleeting.

Words without integrity can destroy even the strongest man.

A man who chooses poorly may inherit the crown, the wealth, and the title—but lose peace, clarity, and direction.

To Solomon, loyalty was sacred.

A woman who flirts with others, entertains doubt, or treats commitment as a performance is a threat to legacy.
She may smile at the ceremony, but she undermines the covenant of daily life.

Solomon teaches that loyalty is earned, disciplined, and non-negotiable.
Without it, even the grandest home crumbles.

Solomon knew that marriage is a vocation, not a reward.

A woman of virtue does not demand glory for herself.
She does not seek applause for obedience or affection.
She endures the ordinary, manages the unseen, and strengthens the man beside her without complaint.

Solomon warned: the woman who chases recognition over responsibility
will abandon the work when it becomes hard, dull, or invisible.

King Solomon repeatedly contrasted fleeting beauty with enduring character.

A woman admired only for her looks can charm a man today and disillusion him tomorrow.
A woman admired for her wisdom, integrity, and restraint strengthens him forever.

The lesson is subtle, but unyielding: legacy is built with substance, not surface.

Do not marry for allure, desire, or convenience.

Jehoshaphat was a good & godly King. He destroyed idol worship in Israel and obeyed God. He sent priests to teach the law all over Judah and the kingdom prospered because of him.

However, the pressure to further strengthen his kingdom, politically & financially, made him get into an alliance with powerful, rich and well connected King Ahab, the husband of Jezebel. The creme de la creme royalty of the day.

He even set up his son Jehoram politically and financially by orchestrating a marriage to Athaliah, Ahab and Jezebels daughter.

With this, they were surely set for life! They didnt just have friends in high places, they entered the high places themselves. They secured the bag and got their place at the high table. They achieved what many could not and became the envy of many. What a smart dude!

He then accompanied Ahab to fight a war against Syria and nearly died when Ahab made him wear his royal robes, making him a target. God send a prophet called Jehu to rebuke King Jehoshaphat saying, "Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord?" Jehoshaphat finally realised that maybe he wasn't so smart after all.

Years later, Jehoshaphat has died, his son Jehoram is now King and his wife Athaliah, Jezebel's daughter is queen. She restores the worship of Baal and Asherah in Judah. She destroys all the spiritual work that Jehoshaphat had done. The politically and financially savvy strategy is a spiritual disaster. Leading whole nation back into sin. They won the world but lost their souls.

When Jehoram passes, his son Ahaziah becomes King and Athaliah is now the King's mother. Sadly, King Ahaziah is killed and Athaliah now desires the throne for herself. She orchestrates a brutal massacre, killing all her grandchildren who have a more direct claim to the throne and becomes queen herself. Imagine that!

Although Jehoshaphat was a smart strategist who only wanted to set up himself and his children for life, he compromised & partnered with the wrong people. They were powerful, they were rich, they were admired, but spiritually, Ahab's family was evil. Jehoshaphat's strategy was spiritually blind.

He connected his throne and family to bad people. By looking only at their money, influence and power, he set up the nation for demonic worship. He set up his grand children to be murdered! His compromise would have multi generational consequences.

It took 3 whole generations for his decision to be defeated and reversed. This happened ONLY BECAUSE they were the lineage of King David. God had promised that a descendant of David would always be on the throne in Judah.

God thus orchestrated for a baby, Joash to be rescued and hidden during the massacre of the grandchildren, hidden in the temple and crowned king at 7 years old. That is how Jezebel"s daughter, Athaliah was finally defeated and killed.

Because of her evil parents, She was used to political espionage, brutality and could do anything for power! She just didnt realise that she was fighting a divine covenant. She was fighting God by trying to end David's lineage! She lost and died.

Dear Father, as I work hard to set up myself and my family in life, please protect me from attractive but evil people, places and partnerships. From agreements that violate your Word. Please preserve me from alliances with moneyed & connected people who disregard or hate you.

Please remove me from partnerships with high, admired, rich, smart achievers who are sought after but spiritually dark.

Please help me never to push my children into places or people that are celebrated and oustanding, but evil. People that will harm them, plague them, destroy them or even kill them. Please help me not to introduce those that will harm or destroy my posterity in any way.
