NIMBY policies make it more expensive and time consuming to build the average development, also raises prices
Donation schemes speed up individual developments ➡️ lower costs for developers while maintaining market prices ➡️ increased profits for donors
@NokhaDakroub knows this
@BonnieCrombie I wish you the best in your race for the leadership of the Ontario Liberal Party. I have followed your career from being elected as a Liberal MP and then joining the Conservatives. Your winning as Ward 5 and your race for Mayor of Mississauga. A life of service.
Thank you @BonnieCrombie for pushing city planning staff to:
1. Fast-track work on multiplex policy
2. Create “super high density” (25-50 storey) OP category, instead of defining high-rise as just 8+
Pushing the system to be bolder and faster are steps in the right direction!
Mississauga is booming with 11,000 new homes under construction! Our housing action plan is working- we're approving approximately 80% of all development applications & issuing record numbers of building permits so developers can get shovels in the ground: https://t.co/JVGnXsLYCk
The policy nerd in me would love to see @beynate go up against Doug Ford because we'd get a campaign with two opposing, different visions of Ontario. A real choice for voters.
The long-time PC supporter in me is saying, "please god pick Bonnie Crombie". #QueenOfNo
#BREAKING: Bonnie Crombie leaves door open to Greenbelt land swaps as she launches Ontario Liberal leadership bid - The Globe and Mail #onpoli https://t.co/x2rONQ7mrT
This is exactly right
Famously, Kathleen Wynne was a progressive downtown Toronto leader who failed to win a Majority government
We need more of what works, like Centre-Right 905 leaders
From Mississauga to Vaughan, I will sweep the province and inspire change
3) We need someone from the GTA. The region that makes or breaks an election is everywhere surrounding the city of Toronto bubble. A downtown Toronto leader would lack the relatability and understanding needed to take back key ridings in Brampton, Mississauga, Oakville, etc…
“Which is why” the Mayor continued “I repeatedly claimed that Kathleen Wynne spent too much on Healthcare and Childcare. Ford has made things worse, but I can make them better. That starts by making cuts to programs for kids and picking fights with the federal government” #onpoli
“Most frequently, it’s health care and how long the wait times continue to be despite the province suggesting that it has solved hallway medicine. … From parents, there is a lot of concern over education. They tell me that there are more than 30 kids per classroom, and they’re concerned that the government will push for even more online learning, which is not what is best for our children. And then, with younger people, it’s climate change.”

Mayor Crombie continues to advocate for centre-right policies:
Q: You have said that the Liberal party has swung too far to the left. Can you give an example?
A: For example, creating expensive programs like dental care and child care. #onpoli#cdnpoli

Mayor Bonnie Crombie is currently in Boston meeting big American drug companies, while her exploratory bid has yet to take her north of Highway 401.
This is the kind of Centre-Right leadership we need.

Productive day at #BIO2023 meeting with senior executives from #Mississauga based businesses @RocheCanada@AstraZenecaCA and @UTM focused on unlocking innovation and spurring further investment in our Life Sciences sector.
Scott, these Tory-on-Tory attacks will only help the ‘progressives’ win. It’s time we stop the infighting and join together to fight the Centre-Left and their free-spending candidates.
Let’s leave Housing to the Liberals, and focus on what we know best: Healthcare & Childcare.
There was a planning meeting in Mississauga this week.
They were evaluating a proposal with over 700 new units.
Let me show you the gatekeepers @PierrePoilievre and I will remove to get more homes built.

Congratulations to @ABDanielleSmith !
You’ve shown Canadians that the path to victory is through the Centre-Right, not the YIMBY Centre or the free-spending Centre-Left.
Looking forward to our work together after #ONelx2026
I’m running to lead a principled, Conservative government, not a lefty progressive government that wastes money on Healthcare/Childcare. We’re not Liberals, and we shouldn’t pretend to be. I’m proud of my record — join me 👇 https://t.co/Y6OkTcmOk8
Kathleen Wynne was too far Left to win elections. That’s why she lost by a shocking landslide in 2014, when no one thought she could, and failed to attract centrist Red Tories. In 2018 she lost again, with no structural factors in play and a clean party record in the prior 15 yrs
Join the #Crombus — it’s common sense.
You may have joined the Party because you were inspired, or because you hoped for a better Ontario.
But to win, we need to give that up.
We have to run united by my common sense Conservative plan.
