Thank you @Bonnie_Library for showing the grade 9s how to access Libguides and databases and use tools to gain more of a global perspective as they prepare for their nuclear energy research paper. @CISBeijing#myCISB
Grade ones are learning about how they apply rules and routines in their daily lives, and reflecting on their choices, so it was the perfect time to introduce them to Choose Your Own Adventure books. They were a hit! Who doesn’t love an interactive story? #myCISB#PYPlibrary
This week, G5 explored the G5 UOI #Libguide and #myCISB#VirtualLibrary to arm them for a year of learning, leading up to #PYPX We’re making sure that quality information is easily accessible to all of our learners
We celebrated #DotDay2022 at #myCISB library with some inspired dot drawings by kindergarten. It’s amazing what you can see in a simple dot! Flowers, cars, space, thunder guitars… and many more
Early chapter books got their own shelf at the #PYPlibrary this week. It’s close to the entrance and some cozy chairs, inviting students to the perfect transition to immersive world of chapter books. We already have some adventurous readers diving in! #myCISB
I started the school year as an #IBrisktaker and led several PDs about teaching with the research tools we have at #myCISB. Thank you to the teachers for their great feedback on how the library can support teaching and learning! #IBlibrary
100% this! I love working with students & teachers to make ideas happen. Yesterday I got to start my day helping our music teacher make tutorials for online learning. It was a great way to start my day ☀️
#TeachingOnline can be tricky, but it did provide the perfect opportunity to play our own game show activity to celebrate homeroom teachers for #TeacherAppreciationWeek We all had a laugh seeing how well (or not) kids knew their teachers 😆 #myCISB#PYPLibrary
Day 1 of the latest round of online learning. It's not the same without the kids here, but I got to see great things during library classes - lots of pets and plants after a story about garden ecosystems, families reading together, and a kid decked out in a dino costume #myCISB
We had book tastings at the #PYPlibrary over the past 2 weeks. Older grades loved exploring different genres, while the younger kids got to try out chapter books. The change of pace was refreshing and it was so interesting to see which books were the favourites #myCISB
So excited! My first ever order of books for middle-high school arrived. Also a bit nervous b/c I hope so much that these speak to students and open the world to them. Now to decide how to celebrate & promote! #myCISB#MYPlibrary#DPlibrary
#PiDay is coming up and we’re celebrating at #myCISB. I used a few of my STEAM Skills to rig up a free-standing pi for a display featuring math related books in the MHS Library #MYPlibrary#DPlibrary
G5 is prepping for #PYPx by honing their research skills. Today we practiced sorting out the trash and the treasure when finding sources. No better way to make it stick than to be hands on and crumple some paper #myCISB#PYPlibrary
We celebrated #MotherLanguageDay at #myCISB How amazing is it to spend every day among all these cultures and languages! I loved collaborating with @seanmuralla to make this day happen
