Hé Ho! Happy Festival du Voyageur week. In music, we are having fun playing the spoons, learning a dance with Mme Diva and practicing our rhythms using Voyageur vocabulary. It’s been a great week of learning! 🎶
Yesterday we had our Remembrance Day assembly. Bravo to our student MC’s, the Grade 4 choir, our trumpeter Laylah from FRC and all the staff who helped put everything together. #LestWeForget
Students have been learning a new song called “Máhsi ts’enįwę” which is a Children’s counting song in the Dene Kede language. This song is written by Juno winner @leelagilday and her cousin Gloria Gaudet. Here is a quick sample of Grade 4 students singing along today in class.

We celebrated Star Wars day in the music room by doing some character rhythm clapping and steady beat keeping, an R2D2 4 corner game and a Darth Vader scarf dance.
