People aren't angry enough about the state of Ramaphosa's economy. Unfortunately, those with influence and platforms to speak up and fight for change are comfortable, while ordinary people are the ones bearing the brunt of unemployment, the rising cost of living, poor service delivery and economic hardship. People often choose what benefits them personally rather than standing up for what is right for society as a whole.
Deputy Labour Minister Jomo Sibiya says they want to review laws to hike the fines for employers who hire undocumented foreign nationals to R100 000. Sibiya says second-time offenders will be fined R200 000, and the fine will increase to R1 million for one undocumented foreign national for third-time offenders.
