Will be interesting to see how no Greene in middle of order affects late pitching decisions from opposing teams. Righties get a lot of lefty pitching at bats late in the game cause of Riley.
Another thing worth noting is that Riley, who is now in his 5th year, falls off significantly in the second half.
.282 BA in the first half, .241 in the second half.
.847 OPS in the first half, .707 in the second half.
That’s a staggering drop off.
@Kenricward@TravCarson_15 @MoneyMelton52 He’s been better this year with the K’s. He makes 1 statement and yall take that to the grave. I’ve seen people on this app wish they had last years Greene back cause he had 36/111 but noooo he K’s too much. Statistically he has been a better hitter this year. Make up your minds
@Kenricward@TravCarson_15 @MoneyMelton52 So you have 1 situational stat 🤣 in that case, McGonigle is terrible and we shouldn’t have extended him based on this 1 situational stat
@TravCarson_15@Kenricward @MoneyMelton52 Amongst ALL LF’s in baseball, he ranks top 10 in all major hitting categories. Most of which he’s top 7. 2nd in doubles, most hits with 109 and has been healthy. A key piece to a winning team. Hes going to be extended at some point and people are going to be livid for no reason.
@dre23mj@R_GoBlue@Castellani2014 Very few of our “fans” probably truly understand what tunneling is and how they get the swing and miss. Irritates me that people can’t comprehend it and yet, still complain.
@dre23mj@R_GoBlue@Castellani2014 Just ignore people like this. They have no true idea about how pitching and hitting works. They just see where it ends in the mitt.
@MikeInA2@Castellani2014 Battled that AB. Got a nice gift by putting it in play and hustled into a double. Dingler singles scores him. Our 1-5 can compete man!
@bfinn_finn @username_dbc Single handedly helped us win 2 games in Texas just last weekend. Players will have bad games. Don’t let that distract you from all the other production they do.
@MattCoggins@leftygofer14@DetroitTigersPR I like this take a lot. Seems like whenever we have a great building piece they want to trade him for a “possible” building piece 2-3 years from now. Makes no sense
@WandBSports@Castellani2014 Greene began to slow creep into a catch. Meadows moved his glove up for a nano second. Ball slicing away from Parker. Just stop.
