during my hiatus for my physical/mental health, i started working on something to help with my depression
this project has been helping a lot, to be honest, and i wanted to share it with you guys a little since it matters a lot to me!!
@TreWatsonMusic@WeAreFocusrite I love that you're still pretending to know your ass from a hole in the ground about audio equipment. Just because you buy a thing, plug it into a USB port, and turn it on doesn't make you an audio engineer. Fucking teach me about clock jitter smart guy.
@WeAreFocusrite@TreWatsonMusic Oh no kidding? You guys don't test your own gear as hard as your own customers do? Cause my account isn't an isolated one. Maybe take a gander at the rest of the thread to see more of your unhappy impromptu product testing team.
@WeAreFocusrite@TreWatsonMusic How about you guys figure this stuff out during your Q&A testing and stop using the general public as your guinea pigs?
@TreWatsonMusic Did you not read the part where I said 2 hours of use causes the components to heat saturate and the thing begins to inject static into the audio feed? That's not something that happens on any other audio equipment certainly not from reputable audio brands.
@TreWatsonMusic They come from the factory with a fatal defect. That's not fine. That's not something you just put up with cause you spent the same amount but could have gotten a Yamaha instead. That's just flat out dumb.
@TreWatsonMusic From their fucking price I'd say they're not marketed to hobbyists. That's my whole gripe with focusrite is that they're priced alongside other actual audio brands equipment but they're built like knockoff garbage.
@TreWatsonMusic You being an audio engineer you certainly know about hardware duty cycles and how actual pro gear is tested to run for multiple weeks under a sustained load and that focusrite uses cheap chinese components that heat saturate and inject static into the audio feed right?
@TreWatsonMusic So you have experience running a multi hour long duty cycle on these focusrite interfaces which is usually where all the issues manifest themselves right? You know something a vtuber would do regularly.
@BusyCasualCL@TreWatsonMusic Then why bring it up? Just say you're an audio engineer and leave it at that. But any respectable audio engineer wouldn't be here endorsing shenzen special audio equipment either so it's quite confusing all around.
@Capo_eirista@TreWatsonMusic You don't use an audio interface to mix you use an audio interface to take an analog signal, convert it to digital, tune it, and send it to a computer. You use a mixer to mix.
