They sold me this sensor for €900 with an app, putting a fancy case around it to look more expensive 🤨
..It was attached to a barbell to analyze exercises tracking Velocity data etc…

So I built my own app, pulled the UUID, and I'm currently calibrating for a completely new use case. 🤓

Just ordered my own sensor on Amazon for €34.50. 🦾👌

His name was Johann August Röbling.

He grew up, moved to America, and built the most iconic bridge in the world - the Brooklyn Bridge in New York 🌉 🏙️

180 years later, I was born in the same town.

Röbling was an architect. So am I. 🦾

A 1:10 scale replica of the Brooklyn Bridge - built as a skatepark - is coming back to Mühlhausen. Back to the city where it all began. 🇺🇸🤝🇩🇪

I build sports facilities and fitness projects for a living.

One of my clients is behind this vision - and he is now actively looking for sponsors to make it happen.

The Olympic skating training center is already here. The story writes itself. 🧩

🫠 Well, way to go… Still not possible to one-shot a 3D building from a 2D floor plan.

It’s always my first test with a new model

Claude is at 90% accuracy.
Gemini Flash 3.5 : 60%…

In @boocamart I implemented a custom system prompt. Accuracy: 95%. With both Gemini and Claude. Still human input / experience needed.

Hopefully by october we can achieve architecture AGI. It’s not that difficult - just numbers and lines. No rocket science…

Should be possible in 5mins instead of 5hrs…

Setting up signage visuals at my client’s gym. Daylight environment 👌

Old-school tech, but projection mapping still delivers ..and highlights areas cheaper than expensive LED screens.

Built the client a browser-based video manager with @claudeai so they can manage their content themselves.

Naturally we also have premium LED walls at 4000€/m2 🙌 if money doesn’t matter 🤑

The best apps often happen by accident. 🫣

I was working on a new construction tool for @boocamart when I realized:

> LiDAR works flawlessly in total darkness, completely independent of ambient light or visual tracking.

So I thought: Why turn the lights on? Let's turn this into a Batman/Daredevil app so the blind can "see" again. 🦇👨‍🦯

Isn't this exactly the kind of use case AI was invented for?

Thanks to @claudeai and @GeminiApp, I made a prototype entirely on the go using Swift Playgrounds @Apple integrated Spatial Audio so the user can hear the precise 3D direction and distance of objects through their AirPods - just like echolocation.🔊

To give the app its "eyes," I connected the Gemini API via @GoogleAIStudio / @OfficialLoganK

The AI detects objects in real-time and acts like an ADAS system, describing exactly what's ahead.

It still needs some love when it comes to latency and accuracy…😅

It works with Google Cardboard or any cheap VR headset where you can just slot in an iPhone.

Next:

> using a WKWebView workaround to pipe the data into @threejs for that ultimate Daredevil-style echolocation point-cloud visualization.
> add fitness and movement-based games to this - everyone should do exercises 🦾
> improve raw AVFoundation to get the raw LiDAR data completely in the dark..AI vision model still needs ambient light to actually recognize and name the objects.
