Notes from the 7th Commanders' training camp practice:

🏈 Stefon Diggs day. He took the first rep in 11-on-11 and ran a short route to the sideline uninvolved in play. Light day of work. Did take a rep in 1-on-1. They're ramping him up.

🏈 Not a surprise but he moves well and appeared to be in good shape. He's one of those guys that just glides on the field. He plays like he weighs 15 pounds. Just so effortless in and out of breaks.

🏈 Bill continues to be heavily featured in the flat as a pass-catcher. He also continues to catch everything thrown to him.

🏈 I keep saying Rachaad White has had a quiet camp but I noticed him more today than in previous sessions.

🏈 Fred Davis II picked off Marcus Mariota today. He's a UDFA from Northwestern. He is not the former TE from USC.

🏈 Trey Amos was elevated from PUP and got some work in. He was on the field for some team drills.

🏈 Dorance Armstrong was also elevated from PUP. He will be eased back in slower it sounds like. Lots of individual work for the first few days.

🏈 Tress Way returned to practice as well. He held on all the Commanders' kicks today.

🏈 Speaking of kicking: Drew Stevens has pulled ahead of Jake Moody in the kicking competition. Stevens was 8/8 today with a long of 56. Moody was 5/7 with misses on his two longest attempts (53 and 56).

🏈 Stevens is currently 28/30 in camp practices. Moody is 24/29.

🏈 Mikey Sainristil had a nice PBU on a deep shot to Antonio Williams. He was running with the rookie stride for stride into the end zone.

🏈 Based on practices so far, Jeremy Reaves may be the second starting safety with Nick Cross. He's with the first team more than anybody else competing for his spot. His multi-regime, several-year ascension has been steady and awesome.
