The reason why most media focuses on celebrity gossip and whether it’s bad Andy Burnham is having a holiday etc is so the public never talks about things like this
Govt planning c. 100 new data centres by early 2030s, mostly in water stressed areas - with no legal duty to disclose how much water they use. Meanwhile Govt launches £75m publicity campaign to urge us to reduce water use & privatised water companies waste 19% thro leaks. Madness
Whenever the apt analogy is drawn between South African Apartheid and Israeli Apartheid, cynics and doubters ask: If so, where is the Palestinian Nelson Mandela?
The answer is: Languishing in prison, tortured and menaced around the clock by prison guards for 24 endless years. His name? Marwan Barghouti.
The man who can unite Palestinians. A shining bright hope for both Palestinians and Israelis who want an end to genocide, to apartheid, to ethnic cleansing, to violence. That’s why Marwan Barghouti keeps languishing in a dismal, inhuman Israeli prison.

🚨 @campbellclaret 👏 Well said!
“History will say the three key drivers of Brexit were David Cameron, Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage.”
“Nigel Farage helped inflict the very thing that has weakened our economy, weakened our standing in the world and damaged our confidence. The fact some people now think he should be Prime Minister is a form of madness.”
Applebaum: Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner negotiated with Russia over Ukraine while discussing mineral, oil and gas deals for connected US companies. They were not bargaining for Ukrainian security or America's European allies. That is a profound abuse of American power. 1/

“The heatwaves this summer..a shocking reminder that climate change is a problem for now, not for the future..hitting the very foundations of our way of life, none more fundamental than access to secure, safe supplies of water for drinking & growing food.”
"Watchdog accused of ‘giving away’ billions of litres of spring water to foreign bottling giants."
Yep the EA are up to their old tricks again. The EA are charging Coca-Cola £6,070 a year to abstract water from the north of England which Coca-Cola then sells for £30 million.
Did I mention that according to the EA by 2050 in England we will need to find another 5 billion litres of water per day just to keep our taps running and to try and save our chalk streams.
What a hoax of a regulator.

FARAGE SECURITY REALITY CHECK
What reasons could Farage have for rejecting security except of course
- his movements would be mapped
- Parliament visits logged
- visitors and associates logged
- his 4 or 5hr lunches logged
- foreign trips logged and not only logged but detailed as to where he has visited, who he has visited, who financed the trip
- visits to Clacton logged (nil return)
Think it's worth repeating. Zia Yusuf claimed no state support was being offered to Reform MPs for protection. In reality, Nigel Farage was offered a car, a trained driver, a bodyguard, and security on a similar level to that offered Kemi Badenoch. That's quite the deception.
@campbellclaret Dishonest and disingenuous to his very core. Two days ago he described the murder as 'a terrible reflection on modern Britain', immediately politically exploiting it to further his narrative s about Britain.
People keep referring to "standards committee of MPs" - eg today's Times. But only 50% of cttee members - 7 out of 14 - are actually MPs. The other 7 are lay members of public. All 14 members get to vote on MPs' behaviour. So plot by political Establishment is a bit diluted.
@TimesRadio Very disappointing that @JPonpolitics allowed a Reform politician twice to refer to parliamentary standards procedures as a 'kangaroo court' without any challenge. Essential that our media uphold rule of law at every point against such Trumpian assaults.
