In the last 48 hours I’ve been deluged with 100s of vile, misogynistic tweets and death threats. Why? For doing my job: asking @ZiaYusufUK questions about claims by @Nigel_Farage of 2-tier policing. I spoke about this on tonight’s show. Enough is enough. https://t.co/SSHiAI3Umc
.@Katie_Lam_MP said on BBC Radio 4 that welfare payments now exceed income tax receipts for the “first time ever”.
That’s not true. Welfare has been higher than income tax for more than a decade.

Farage's Reform UK Ltd is now the best funded political party in the UK. Not from grass routes support or local branches but almost entirely by a couple of tax dodging, uncountable, unknown, shady crypto speculators.
Every leader stood to ask their question but first expressed their sympathy with not only the Novak family but also with news of the Royal Navy helicopter crash amongst other incidents…
But not Farage. He just couldn’t wait to grab the limelight.
Victoria Derbyshire, "Keir Starmer telling Nigel Farage he has exploited the Henry Nowak case, is he right?"
Telegraphs' Annabel Denham, "Err, no, I don't think the PM is right"
Labour's Tom Hayes, "I'm just shocked by that, you've got a grieving family going through some of the worst experience anyone can ever know, and they've called on Nigel Farage not to exploit the death of their boy; and he literally did that in the House of Commons"
"Nigel Farage was given the opportunity to condemn the violence, which he himself incited, by calling for protests. He could have condemned the violence"
Annabel Denham, "Do you truly believe that the people in Southampton would have not taken to the streets in response to that sickening footage?"
Tom Hayes, "I spoke to the Southampton MP, the vast majority of people in their city protesting, came from outside Southampton"
"On top of that, Nigel Farage said this evening that there will be more to come"
Smashed car windows. Bricks littering the streets. Families left clearing up the mess after a night of chaos in Southampton.
This wasn't done in Henry Nowak's name. Associating this destruction with Henry or his family's memory is an insult.
This was the work of Farage and his mob of thugs who seized the chance to riot while pretending to be the victims.
@PeterStefanovi2 Increasingly clear to all voters, that Starmer is the perfect pm for these difficult times. Never before, in the last 15 years, has the uk had a leader who can calm the chaos, speak wisely, take tough decisions, but also realise there is so much more to correct.
Stay put Keir.
Nothing screams ‘two tier Britain’ more than a multi millionaire, dog whistling, far right, cosplaying politician being interviewed live on Sky from his high end, executive, chauffeur driven €200,000 Mercedes Maybach…
Farage has done untold damage to the British economy by being instrumental in Brexit; enormous damage to British society by inflaming ethnic divisions; and incalculable damage to the probity of British politics by countenancing obscene levels of funding from disreputable sources.
British far right politicians have moved from stochastic terrorism to direct incitement and the government has absolutely no idea how to deal with it.
Legislating against big tech and making groundbreaking changes to our archaic parliamentary systems would be a fucking start.
So the day begins with Nigel Farage making completely false statements about "anti white racism."
All day long his talking points are repeated by Reform UK, GB News and other right wing politicians and media.
Then notorious far right agitatiors Tommy Robinson, Laurence Fox, Danny Tommo, Kellie Jay Keen, Young Bob and others turn up to the Southampton Police Station protest.
And the day ends with a massive riot and police getting attacked.
Today was a perfect example of how the far right work at a political level, a media level and a street level.
There's not a single person in Britain who doesn't agree that the death of Henry Nowak was a tragedy, and the way the police handled it was absolutely disgraceful.
There's only one political party, however, who want to take that family's pain and politicise it for their own benefit.
@rich_wiseman@Gwynoro You are a Russian propaganda victim.
The giveaway? It includes things like "let Ukraine use Storm Shadow" as if that's self-evidently a scandal. That isn't a mainstream British political criticism of Labour. It's much more common in pro-Russian and Ukraine-sceptic online spaces.
Today I attended the rape gang debate in Parliament.
In other news, here I am with someone charged with rape, human trafficking, controlling prostitution and actual bodily harm, who I described as "an important voice for young men".
