This is awful. The last ever Denby Pottery going to the kiln. Why is there not uproar? Where’s the government in this?? We all have Denby in our homes, in family heirlooms, as our history and now it’s closing through lack of support, such a sad sad day. #SaveDenby@denbypottery
This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, Dementia Friend Nic shines a light on the importance of carers taking time to look after themselves, too.
We have information and support for carers including tips for wellbeing and physical health: https://t.co/wfTYROplt2
Very Important Message!!
Do NOT, and I repeat do not buy plants treated with Neonicotinoids. Bees take the pollen back to the hive and feed it to the brood.
This is a number one cause of the colony collapse. It's important to NOT buy these plants!

He is 85 and insists on taking his wife’s hand everywhere they go. When he was asked why his wife kept looking away, he responded, “because she has Alzheimer's”. Then he was asked, will your wife worry if you let her go? He then replied, ′′she doesn't remember anything, she doesn't know who I am anymore, she hasn't recognized me for years.” Surprised, I said, “and you have continued to guide her every single day even though she doesn't recognize you?" 💞
The elderly man smiled and looked into my eyes and said, ′′she may not know who I am, but I know who she is, and she is the love of my life..✍️
Dear Recruiters,
If you’ve already decided who’s getting the job, please, let’s normalize not holding interviews just for the sake of it.
People are out here borrowing money for transport, buying clothes they can’t afford, and building up hope they can’t afford to lose. It’s rough out there.
A little transparency goes a long way. It’s not just about the job; it’s about respecting people’s time, effort, and dignity.
A feel-good factor story to get your New Year off to an inspiring and uplifting start.💥
This is @tsdomestics - one of our campaign partners - who are a highly motivated group of young people refusing to sit and watch their town continue to deteriorate. 👏
I’m at the point now with my career where I don’t care about anything other than doing my job and then going home.
Making improvements, wanting credit, doing extra? I want none of it.
All I want is to do my job well then get home to my kids, my wife, my gym, my hobbies, my church. The things that I love
Some call it being in a rut. I call it prioritizing my energy toward the things that really matter to me. I’ve been around long enough to see that companies in the grand scheme of things don’t care about you or your contributions. It’s all about the bottom line.
I have an employee, Sarah, who has been my right hand for 6 years. She opens the shop, closes the shop, and treats the business like it's her own. Yesterday, she came into my office shaking, handing me a resignation letter. She said her mom was diagnosed with dementia and she needs to become a full-time caregiver because she can't afford a nurse. I tore up the letter. I told her, 'You are not quitting. You are on paid leave until you figure this out. Your job will be here, and your paycheck will hit your account every two weeks.' I’d rather take a hit to my profits than lose a loyal human being to a tragedy she didn't ask for.
Good people are hard to find, we have to protect them
Kevin, huge congratulations on nearing the finish of your incredible 7 in 7 challenge! Your commitment to Rob and everyone affected by MND is truly inspiring. Thank you for shining a light on the need for research and support, and for the hope and example you bring. Look after those knees! W
Introverts aren’t lazy, they’re just not interested in your idea of “fun.” Crowds drain them. Noise overwhelms them. Small talk feels like work. They chill different. A cozy room. Two people they trust. Good food. Music that feels like a blanket. Conversations that actually mean something. That’s where they feel alive. Not in chaos, not in noise, not in rooms where everyone talks but no one connects.
Calm over chaos. Always. Because for them... peace feels like home.
How many hours per night do you sleep?
ARE YOU IN THE SAFE ZONE? ❓❓❓
I sleep usually about 6 hours, 8 if I'm lucky. 👍 Unless I'm stressed...then I get about 4.
