In 2017, only 26% of acts playing major US music festivals featured at least 1 womxn or non-binary musician. Let's talk about it. More responsive on IG.

I always point to ACL when I get told how hard it is for a large festival to book women and non-binary artists AND sell tickets. Well, weekend one is already sold out, so jump on this one fast! Great job @aclfestival
It has surpassed 40% all four years in which a lineup has been announced. The most any other major fest has done it in that span is twice. More than half of the headliners are women (or include a woman) for the second year in a row!
Nikki Lane has curated her own smaller stage for the festival, of which 9 of 19 acts feature women. These artists are not included on the lineup poster, but I have included them in the percentages. Without these, the overall (what appears on the poster) would be 35%.
