@Tween2TeenBooks@NicolaMDavidson For general purposes our blog and podcast use POP-Put out percentage. This way you know when the on page sex starts. Sex is not limited to just penetration. It can be oral or toys or mutual Masterbation
@JenReadsRomance This book and series has bigger problems than not great written blurbs. You can drive the truck and horse trailer through the plot holes
She was a legend and a truly remarkable story teller. I loved her stories. I had the honor of interviewing her for the podcast and she was a true delight.
Lots of love and peace to her family’s md friends. https://t.co/NSD2qDAQUj

@ZoeYorkWrites I don’t mind a reboot/new pen name. I don’t need to know if it is their first pub work or 30th My issue comes when an Indie author gets a Trad pub deal & promos the trad pub as their debut. Like what they did previously did not count until big pub says it does. -same author name
Was in a bookstore yesterday in SF and asked the staff where romance would be. "We don't have a romance section." So I clarified, where would I find them, then? In fiction? "We don't stock romance novels." 🥲🥲🥲
The discussion on ebook pricing when a book that was Indie Pub and now bought by Trad Pub has some elitist/literary snob vibes. Pub is getting most that money not the author. Shouldn’t we be happy for them? I don’t see the same discussion on books straight from Trad pub. #books
Saturday is Independent Bookstore Day. Is it a coincidence that Barnes and Nobles launches their 25% off preorder campaign today? So tell me again how B&N is the so awesome and best place to buy books?

@ZoeYorkWrites I do think of the discourse of books that are “long” vs the edit down is coming from those with roles in Traditional pub. I also think it has a spark of elitism to it. For example why do you need 120k words when I can tell the story better in 75k words. (IMO)
@ZoeYorkWrites It is also weird when one of the louder critics of longer books is someone in the industry that claims to support and want to build up authors.
@tashalharrison I have been doing it for 3 yrs now. I keep waiting for it to get easier but it is exhausting. I love our community we have built and they keep me going. But it is a wild ride of emotions
@tashalharrison I can see this with the Mafia Don and the power dynamic is acceptable in these romances. I think outside the wealth it is the power dynamic that seems to be the issue with billionaire romances
