Ladybower Reservoir on Tuesday.💚
The water levels are a stark reminder of the record-breaking hot summer we’ve had, revealing stretches of shoreline usually hidden beneath the water.
I love visiting here, though.❤️

A view of Sheffield from just outside Holmesfield.
The city skyline rising above a sea of woodland, with the rolling hills stretching into the distance. A reminder of how close urban life and beautiful countryside are in this part of the world.

@LinzGelsthorpe Me too. It’s the first time I’ve been for around four years. Regularly went when I was a child and although my memory fails me, I’m sure I’ve been inside it too.
@LinzGelsthorpe We went to Lytham a few years ago, or is it St Anne’s? One of the two, I can’t remember which one.
Anyway, there’s something about Blackpool which pulls us there and we keep returning - but it’s absolutely horrendous in parts.
The stench of weed yesterday was awful.
Had an electrifying afternoon by the River Trent on the Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire border yesterday afternoon.
I’m Notts born and bred but discovered the Fledborough Viaduct for the very first time👀.
Firefighters head to a large field fire off Jubilee Way South in Mansfield earlier this afternoon - the latest incident to have taken place locally in recent days during the long, dry spell.

Not sure when this fire happened but there was a blaze here earlier today, but this looks like it may have taken place earlier this summer. Look how close the fire got to the properties.

I’ve posted multiple photos of planes this past week, so here’s a video of what I believe to be a London to Edinburgh service passing through Carlton-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire on the East Coast Mainline yesterday.

@LinzGelsthorpe Very similar to me, then. I remember going with a friend and his parents to the Great Northern in the late 80s - think it was around 1989 - and more recently would take our son to watch the trains when he was younger. The pub is currently closed, which is sad.
