𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.⁣

In today's Gospel, Jesus told the parable of the sower, one seed, four different types of ground, four different outcomes.⁣

Some fell on the path and birds ate it up, some fell on rocky ground and grew fast but had no root, some fell among thorns and got choked out, and some fell on good soil and produced thirty, sixty, even a hundredfold.⁣

The seed did not change from one ground to another, the sower did not throw a better seed on the good soil, the same word, and same message, the same opportunity was given to all four grounds.⁣

What changed was the condition of the ground that received it.⁣

This makes me think about how many of us receive the same information, the same advice, the same opportunities as everyone else, yet the results look totally different depending on what we do with it internally, how much depth we allow it, how much distraction we let choke it out, how much shallow excitement we mistake for real growth.⁣

God is not withholding seed from anybody, He is generous with His word, scattering it everywhere, even where He knows it might not survive.⁣

The first reading backs this up too, the rain and the snow come down and do not return to the sky without watering the earth, without making it produce, God's word always accomplishes what He sends it to do, but the ground still has to receive it properly.⁣

Check what kind of ground your heart has been lately, is it hardened by distraction, shallow from lack of depth, choked by worry and the pull of everyday life, or is it prepared to actually hold what God is planting in you right now.⁣
