@emmalgsutton I’m not sure this suggestion is even practical but could the device they contact this person on become out of use? No internet/won’t switch on/broken plug? Anything to break the contact for a few days? Not sure if that would cause more stress though?

@catskidschaos Me too! We go super simple - find a book where the character just wears normal clothes! This yr we’ve gone for Einstein the Penguin - regular clothes, stuffed penguin and the book - done!! I refuse to pay for costumes for a 10yo to wear once!!

@GillianVFearon @emmalgsutton We’ve come to the exact conclusion even with Family Link. We are now doing no screens in bedrooms full stop after discovering videos she’s done of herself that are def risky! Thankfully she has no way of posting online (I think!!) but scary stuff!

@emmalgsutton Try using Family Link instead? You can immediately see if it’s unlocked and can see exactly what’s being used at that moment

In the last couple of weeks I've learned from the police / media if I want to avoid going missing or being murdered I need to:

Not be too ambitious or high-achieving.
Not earn more than my partner (too late)
Not go to a park.
Not to drink alcohol.
Not to go through menopause.

@sarahMo3W @IshMotherBec We do similar. When my daughter broke her phone she ended up with a hand me down as she couldn't afford a new one.

@IshMotherBec @sarahMo3W We pay for both phones for the chn - they are £6 a month for unlimited calls/ texts and quite a lot of data. We did do a credit top up one but they ran out quickly and we need them to have access for the walks to sch etc.
