@RavenApollo2 I grew up watching the vintage stop-motion TV show version and had a wind-up Paddington. As I was 2 I only could call him 'Ton'. https://t.co/YMtn8LdU4J
@pipandbaby I remember being woken up hungover in Brooklyn by my stoner roomie saying the WTC was on fire. I thought yeah sure, he's high again. Then I turned the TV on...sobered up real fast.
That's not to lessen the genius of his heavier works, including the one he was probably attacked because of, but I found 'Quichotte' a powerful short novel that holds a mirror up to modern society.
Get well Salman, you are true humanistic writer and great intellect.
What happened to @SalmanRushdie is tragic as he's an amazing writer of magical realism. His modern interpretation of Don Quixote 'Quichotte' is one of the best non-polemic writings upon celebrity obsession and ills plaguing society from opoids to divisive cultural pigeonholing.
RIP Nichelle Nichols. You were a badass in the first Trek movie I saw, and a true pioneer of black representation on screen. A life well lived.

I watched D.B Cooper Where Are You?
It was fine, but I'm getting tired of documentary series focusing on the weird obsessiveness of the investigators.
It also lacked a talking Great Dane. 5/10
