@misskubelik I found my Ravenclaw pin today, the first Ravenclaw pin I'd ever even SEEN (remember how early on it was just G/S merch?)
I remembered how delighted I was to receive it as a gift, and now, that's literally the only reason I'm keeping it. Because he knew I'd love it and I did.
@misskubelik I hate it. I genuinely hate how she has taken something that meant so much to me and made it into something that is a source of pain.
(I'm mostly off Twitter right now, *gestures at the world on fire*, but logged in to make sure my Hogwarts house is out of my bio.)
@misskubelik That ad makes me almost incandescent with rage bc they show them using Lysol on *everything but the box* so they don't even answer that ridiculous question adequately.
@LadyKatKat_09 You're a sweetheart, Kat. π
Even perfume samples in magazines can bother me a bit but this was just...so excessive.
The house still smells of it even though I took all the packing materials out to the trash immediately, and the offending item is outside to air out. π
If you're sending something to someone, PLEASE don't douse it in perfume before dropping it in the mail.
A lot of people are sensitive to scents. I woke up today feeling fine, now I have a scent-triggered migraine from opening the mail. π
@yourtitakate I think it's a misguided (very misguided) attempt at empathy. But all it does is trivialize an experience that we will never be able to fully comprehend.
Iβm fighting for @MattBC and @CosetTheTable, and all disabled Americans, because no one should be forced to choose between critical benefits and marrying the person they love.
@misskubelik@KerriMPR I have done a lot of work to overcome it, work that continues to this day, and it's awful to realize just how different my views could have been at a much younger age if my *Christian school* hadn't pushed those books at us so hard because of "family values".
@misskubelik@KerriMPR How do you read something like that, be told that it's good by virtually every adult in your life, and NOT internalize it?
I will never recommend those books to kids. Never ever.
@anishinaa_bae This is me:
