Imagine being a company as big as @iHeartRadio and somehow thinking mocking your own audience and dragging an artist who had NOTHING to do with your technical failures was a good look.

@TheWoodyShow - Jungkook’s name is not your punchline. He travelled for hours, showed up, performed professionally and did his job. Your event’s technical issues have absolutely nothing to do with him.

And calling the very people who paid, attended and supported your event “losers”? Bold choice. 🙃

@iHeartRadio , @TheWoodyShow - this isn’t something you get to brush off with silence or a generic PR response.

We expect accountability: a public acknowledgment of what was said, a clear apology to Jungkook and BTS, and an apology to the ARMYs who were disrespected.

You invited the audience. You took their money. You owe them basic respect.

Now own it.

You can explain the 15-minute BTS set. You can explain the pre-agreed schedule, TV broadcast restrictions and compensation. You can even criticize ARMYs for comments you found unreasonable.

But what you cannot do is use that as an excuse to disrespect the artists themselves.

Deliberately butchering Jung Kook’s name, twice, followed by “whatever the fuck his name is,” while discussing one of the biggest artists in the world, is not criticism. It is disrespect.

And calling an entire fandom “losers” and “conspiracy theorists” because of comments made online by some fans is neither professional nor reasonable.

ARMY is a global fandom of millions of people. The people who expressed frustration online do not represent every single person in the fandom.

If the facts were simply that BTS had an agreed 15-minute slot because of the show’s production requirements, then say that. Explain the scheduling. Explain the format. Explain the circumstances. Most people can understand that.

Instead, #thewoodyshow chose to ridicule an entire fandom and, more importantly, showed blatant disrespect toward the artists themselves. The other hosts had multiple opportunities to push back or redirect the conversation, but they participated instead.

@iHeartRadio and @TheWoodyShow owe BTS and their fans an apology.

Criticism is one thing. Disrespect is another.

We demand respect for BTS.
