The Fingernail I Clipped in 1987 That Changed the World Forever. No, I don't think there's been a book with this title published yet, but there soon will be. Please, please, publishers, no more "that changed the world forever" in titles or subtitles.
Thanks! I’m happy to be mentioned alongside Marilyn Stasio, and I remain convinced that the Charlie Resnick novels are a high-water mark in crime fiction.
That is very well said, but deep in my heart of hearts, I can’t keep from thinking how cool it would be to take my cart through Binny’s Beverage Depot and do a full Nick Cage.
Leaving Las Vegas is the existential end point of the neo-noir movement of the 90's. A collapsing black hole of self disgust and despair set against the saccharine sugar plum fairies of Sin City .

"this is a bit too far fetched" in any of your book reviews anytime soon

From my 4 1/2 yr old grandson, Elliott: “I have good news and bad news. The air is better in Portland now, but—and this is really, really bad, Pa—RBG died.”
