I just finished my first the final rough draft novel length book. (Not a children's book) still have a round of editing to do before I can publish it though.

I have been working on this book off and on since I was 18. (That was almost 10 years ago!!!)

Being so emotional attached and invested in your main character:

Good for building their story, life, and personally.

Bad for killing them off in the end.
