So whose ancestors actually get it?

@WelshMalaysian @MattooShashank They can't, because of a 2017 ruling by the Indian Supreme Court that said it should stay in England and that because the wording on the 2nd Treaty of Lahore said it was "surrendered" it was meant to be a gift.

@AdamA10953 @queenofjes As for the Koh I Noor. Under the 2nd Treaty of Lahore it was surrendered' to the East India company who gave it to Queen Victoria.
In 2017 the Indian Supreme court ruled it was classed as a gift because of that word surrendered, and ruled it should stay in England.

@AdamA10953 @queenofjes The cullinan wasn't stolen. Thomas Cullinan tried to sell it but no one wanted it so he gave to Edward VII as a symbol of healing. The King had it cut by Joseph Asscher. He kept the Rising Star of Africa & the rest went back to SA.

Again, we don't know what they suffered from and if it was treatable today. A lot of people have severe mental disabilities
