I am pleased to say that all of Salman Rushdie's books have sold out from Gardner's, Europe's largest book wholesaler. No doubt they will be reprinted and distributed widely in the coming months.

@Ofmooseandmen Never ask an angry bookseller this question... How about, "As I Lay Dying", "For Whom the Bell Stays Oddly Silent", "Heart of Darkness" (although that does assume they have one), "In the Garden of the Beasts", "Withering Slights", (that's by Keir Starmer so not sure it counts)

@underagreysky A friend gave me a 3-book subscription to @influxpress
and its been a real pleasure to read all these books. I loved Eymelt's photos too - a perfect compliment to your words.
That feeling of sadness when you reach the last page of a book you've loved reading. 'in the pines' by Paul Scraton (@underagreysky) is a collection of interconnected stories about a forest that tell the story of a village and its people. Looking forward to reading his other work
While Rachel is on holiday, I have taken responsibility for her meticulous books-inwards system, honed and perfected over years. Enjoy your holiday, Rachel. It's perfectly safe with me.
@RuthMcKee The lady at my local bakery slipped an extra croissant into my bag. I haven't been back, I've completely changed my breakfast and lunch habits, I walk by on the other side of the street embarrassed that we might make eye contact. Have I done enough? Should I move?
When you visit another city work your daughter and spend 100 euros on books, despite owning a bookshop yourself. Not only do I still love browsing, book shopping is fun with someone you care about. (Books bought below, half mine, half hers)
