“We were once a great people. Now we live in ruins. The kings of our past would weep if they could see how far we have fallen.” –Princess Kida
‘Atlantis: The Lost Empire’ was released in theatres 25 years ago today!
It's interesting that the anti-colonial aspect of the book has largely faded from the public consciousness (probably because ppl didn't learn it that way in grade school). Personally I find it difficult to think of it as anything other than a skewering of the colonial mindset.
hay varios borradores de f&b donde rhaenyra tenía hijos legítimos y aún así era usurpada, deben entender que la razón siempre será en todas las versiones que la usurparon POR SER MUJER
sorry guys but "Criston Cole really fails to live up to the expectations for him set by A Feast for Crows" was something people said about Fire and Blood the moment it came out. the idea that this is a show only problem is some revisionist history.
What I really started worrying about today is a near future in which all access to information is intermediated by AIs, able to infer intent and political coding of all user activity, like a librarian reading over your shoulder and denying your access on a page-by-page basis.

~ Marjane Satrapi
I think some people aren't really understanding, it's not about corporations actually giving a fuck. They never did. It's moreso an indicator that it *used to* be seen as profitable to signal allyship, but that's just not the case anymore, which is sincerely concerning
An additional benefit is that good public transit that doesn't cut trips at night gives people an alternative way to get home after a night of drinking thats far cheaper than a cab. Good public transit takes drunk drivers off the road.
