I’m now on the butterfly app! I have a different name over there, but since I’m a nobody here, I can be a nobody over there. 🤣 Always and everywhere: #Resist
Wow. Xitter is now accusing people of “platform manipulation” for … retweeting political views they agree with, apparently.
I’m a concerned citizen who shares anti-authoritarian views. I’m not even that active on the platform. And this is what I get.
At least twice in the last 24 hours @JDVance said that ICE is going “door-to-door” to hunt down “illegal aliens.”
This is plainly unconstitutional—and precisely what the founders were most afraid of.
The federal government is lawless.
It has no authority. Only violence.
JD Vance: “He is protected by absolute immunity.”
If ICE agents have “absolute immunity” that means they can never be prosecuted for anything done on the job.
That's about as Orwellian as it gets.
Vance is saying masked federal agents showing up in your community- at your door can face absolutely ZERO consequences even if they violate your rights, break the law or EVEN if they fucking shoot you. Where are all the anti tyrannical government people now?
🚨NEW: Rep. Robin Kelly (IL-D) plans to file Articles of Impeachment against DHS Secretary Kristi Noem over the Minneapolis shooting of Renee Nicole Good.
RETWEET if you stand with Kelly against Noem!
We cannot forget who was complicit on January 6th.
Ted Cruz fanned the flames of insurrection.
Ken Paxton provoked the rioters before the assault.
John Cornyn refused to investigate the attack.
They have forfeited their right to represent us in our nation’s Capitol.
🔥🚨OH SNAP: Tim Walz didn’t mince words:
“I don’t think any governor in history has had to fight a war against the federal government. What Donald Trump tweeted the other night put the Hortman children at risk. They had to increase security. It put my family at risk again. What he’s doing to the Somali community is absolutely unconscionable.”
Tim Walz dropping out of the race for a third term is the direct result of Republican threats to kill his entire family after they had already murdered one of his state’s representative and her husband. — Anyone still believe both parties are the same?
I hear politicians say…
Medicare for All is too expensive.
Universal Childcare is too expensive.
Universal Basic Income is too expensive.
Nutrition assistance is too expensive.
But endless wars and regime change get a blank check.
It went from “America First” to “we’re going to run Venezuela” in less than a year.
And Americans still don’t have affordable housing, healthcare, or groceries.
Donald Trump’s actions in Venezuela do not make America safer, stronger, or more affordable.
That Maduro is a brutal, illegitimate dictator does not change the fact that this action was both unlawful and unwise. We’ve seen this movie before. Wars for regime change or oil that are sold as strength but turn into chaos, and American families pay the price.
The American people do not want this, and they are tired of being lied to.
This is not about drugs or democracy. It is about oil and Donald Trump’s desire to play the regional strongman. If he cared about either, he wouldn’t pardon a convicted drug trafficker or sideline Venezuela’s legitimate opposition while pursuing deals with Maduro’s cronies.
The President is putting troops at risk, spending billions, destabilizing a region, and offering no legal authority, no exit plan, and no benefit at home.
America needs leadership whose priorities are lowering costs for working families, enforcing the rule of law, strengthening alliances, and — most importantly — putting the American people first.
This is when we see who is serious about their oath & who isn’t. This President continues to exceed his powers because Republicans care more about a pat on the head than they do being patriots. OUR TROOPS, OUR LAND, OUR CITIZENS, & OUR STANDING IN THE WORLD are all being put at risk!
If republicans are so supportive of his acts, then he could have come to Congress for approval… but he’s been allowed to unconstitutionally grab immigrants, then US citizens off the streets because too many people continue to pretend like this is nothing more than a game!
I’m disgusted at how feckless & weak elected “leaders,” are being in this moment!
I’ll put it this way, if the justification for grabbing a president comes from having indictments….
something tells me this precedent won’t age well!
It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.
The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.
