@AnimarchyYT I get this argument insofar as the SU is more responsible for Israel existing/having a decently sized population. I do still think that the US's constant material support and international protection is the reason Isreal wasn't toppled as a pariah state decades ago. Still cool!
@amyalkon@louistheroux@MindhouseTV Translation: This place was once possessed by a group of people I like, so the people living there now have to die/be forced to leave.
An argument famously used to justify invading: the Sudetenland, Poland, even Isreal a few times. and Ukraine in the modern day.
Aka: Fascism
@atun_shei I would guess that, as the Checkmate Lincolnite stuff has become less of a monolithic part of your channel, your audience is now made up more of general history nerds (like myself) and there's fewer leftists (also like myself).
@Der_Parrot He directed a lot of the Cambodian raids personally, despite not really having the experience to do so, which I think shows that he personally liked having the power to drive and conduct war, even if it was estranged from his political ideas.
@Der_Parrot That's a pretty intuitive way to describe his political viewpoint I think, given that he didn't turn the Cold War hot by saying we should invade Russia or China or something (cough cough MacArthur). I think he mightve held some personal hawkish sentiments tho...
@Hbomberguy My personal (autistic) theory is we get it from babies. Humans instinctually vibrate their mouth muscles when they're delighted by a certain taste (which is an m sound), and then we heard babies pairing that sound with one of the easier vowel sounds to make (y----), so it stuck.
@KnowingBetterYT An awesome CinemaWins vid about Starship Troopers just blew up, and I think it kinda triggered a revival of the movie along with Helldivers.
