@onyxicca It's so surreal, like I and alot of my friends that were girls grew up playing Playstation and Nintendo with our families and friends. And I'm not just talking Pokémon or Kirby, but also Mortal Kombat and GTA. It's a hobby I adopted from a very young age and is still dear to me.

@marzywuz Also I highly recommend playing Xmas and Overkill when you get the chance, especially for proper Ther and Angelwood content involving Ronin. His route and endings in Xmas are way more GG-based than in KC: OG and his birthday moment in Overkill is a real heartstring-tugger.

@marzywuz But also in making sure stuff like Ther and Angelwood being more involved in Ronin's route among alot of other stuff like Angel's family history, V's personality/background, Misaki's feelings regarding being an assassin for hire, and the other server members getting more content!

@marzywuz Personally, I was made aware of that going into KC. Coupled with the base game being free, I felt it did a ok job. Unfortunately, I don't think many are aware of this and of KC: EE being in development and so are treating KC: OG as if it had the same time to cook as other sims.

@marzywuz I think what most people looking at KC: OG is that it was made for Indie GameJam, wherein indie game devs test their skills by curating a full game within a month. Obviously, having only a month to write a whole dating sim game with multiple LIs is going to result in weak writing

@marzywuz Ronin is still actively grieving Ther's death by the events of KC and much of his actions are motivated less by Ther and moreso avoiding how much losing Ther affected him. This video from OSP goes into greater detail on this trope differentiation: https://t.co/kC56ycTDqD

@marzywuz While I agree that Ther's death is a trope of its own, I think it's more haunting the narrative than it is fridging. Fridging implies that Ther was quickly forgotten after their death and that Ronin was spurred into action after it occurred, which is disproven by Xmas/Overkill.

@rivvyribbons While I am with you on wanting Ronin's canon race to be more clearly defined since the Tumblr post Rose made a while back is pretty vague/confusing overall, it may be hard to retcon Ronin's French heritage that was introduced in GG (Beaufort) and with that game being tied to KC.

@killquill It's fr crazy, like I get some of the criticism and I have my own gripes with KC OG, but I feel like alot of it is just stemming from people not understanding that KC OG was literally made in a month and alot is getting fixed/added into KC:EE, including Patreon content.
