Watch a child when they’re happy. They’ll sing in Tesco, dance in the middle of the pavement, laugh like they’ve just heard the funniest shit on Earth.

Then five minutes later they’re on the floor screaming because their biscuit broke in half.

Then what happens?

Ten minutes later they’re outside chasing a pigeon like nothing happened.

That’s emotional processing.

Adults do the opposite.

Children forgive fast because they haven’t spent decades collecting grudges like Pokémon cards.

Their inner world is fucking alive.

Then we spend years telling them it’s nonsense and later wonder why adults can’t visualise anything beyond next Friday.

That’s why shadow work hits so deep.

Half the time you’re not becoming somebody new, you’re removing all the shit that got piled on top of who you already were.

Remembering how to feel.

Remembering how to play.

Remembering how to imagine.

Remembering how to actually be here.

So yeah, you wanna learn presence? Watch a dog.

You wanna learn emotional honesty? Watch a child.

You wanna learn forgiveness? Watch them both.

Meanwhile adults are out here holding a grudge from secondary school against someone who probably doesn’t even remember their fucking surname.
