@Keef1951 No, I would vote leave again. I was concerned about the lack of headway Gained but ascension to the Pacific trading bloc is great news (it’s what the EU should be).It will take years to objectively see if the decision was the right one. Under other governments and post covid too!

@MatejCadil Essentially from a literacy perspective I think it’s a fairy evocative name and leans into the way the Old English and Danes named places in the U.K. which Tolkien knew very well. Ton suffix being present all over the U.K and meaning farm or Hamlet in old English.

@culturaltutor Hull is a funny case I think, Bombed to smithereens in WW2 has many ugly Building raised post war, but retained a few fantastic buildings. Hull maritime museum which was the Dock offices built 1872 and the City Hall admittedly built 1912 Baroque revival style are Gems of Hull.

@BellaWallerstei A part of me would love to know your own personal cost/pay tax burden, I just think it would be interesting. I’m fully aware that school for my two children isn’t ‘free’ but I wonder if my lifetime taxes cover it all in the end.
