I need a reporter to ask about fan buy in. Hard working people paid 10k plus JUST for PSLs on top of the stadium being paid for by tax payers. How do they ensure fan trust when they’re moving so weird and shady?

[Brother Bill @TheeBrotherBill]

It’s not as much about the firing of McDermott as the promotion of Beane paired with it. I’ve been plenty fed up with McDermott during his tenure, but Beane moreso the past 2 seasons. There’s elements of back stabbing, of gaslighting and of disrespect. An organization who pretends to be one with the fans shoulda seen it coming that typing a misspelled statement wasn’t enough. And that giving a man, who’s been getting shit on much harder than McDermott the past 2 years by the fans, total control of the team was going to be received this way. Shoulda cleaned house and said goodbye to this era respectfully and properly

[Chrissy Casilio @ChrissyCasilio]

This might be a self-inflicted wound, but I don’t care.

The Bills PR team mishandled Damar Hamlin’s return at that playoff game.

They also mishandled McDermott’s firing.

What Bills PR continues to forget is that this is not a normal fanbase. A cookie-cutter approach does not work here. We are deeply and emotionally invested in this team.

Look how we react when finding ANYONE outside of Buffalo wearing a Bills logo. We love your mailroom guy. Josh Allen’s neighbor named Squirrel is still one of our heroes. There are no boundaries when it comes to how Buffalo connects to the Bills.

We treat this team like family. The organization needs to put in more effort to treat us the same way in return.

This has nothing to do with the decisions themselves. It has everything to do with how those decisions are communicated to the fans.

Waiting until Wednesday for a press conference is insane. This should have happened Monday morning.

We’re not stupid (some are), we have eyes, we have social media, and most of us have some sort of connection to an insider/employee.

Transparency is always important.

Tell us the truth. Be clear about what’s going on. And do whatever it takes to keep Bills Mafia as the 12th man on that EXTREMELY expensive new field!

As a fan who was very much okay with the idea of cleaning house, I think this was the only outcome that could have literally repulsed me. It was obvious the past two seasons Beane was much more the issue. Sean is a Bills legend for what he came into and turned the team around into and your statement to him as a typo in the first sentence. I was okay with keeping Sean and firing Beane, or cleaning house all together. They beefed this and disrespected a man who deserved more than that regardless of what some of us felt his coaching shortcomings were

[𝒩𝒾𝒸𝑜𝓁𝑒 ❤️💙🏈🦬 @mafiababexoox]

He clapped for everyone.
He clapped when nobody else would.
He believed in everyone.
He loved the team; gave his heart and soul.

This one stings and it’s gonna for a while.

I understand that it’s business.
But… I think he was deserving of another season with a different GM.
He literally was working with what he had.

I’m soo sorry, Coach. 😭💔
