We brewed a golden sour today & pitched 2 of the 3 wild yeasts from my back yard. One of them didn’t perform well so it wasn’t used. @BootlegBiology isolated these strains from some yeast captures I did back in 2019 and we’re finally putting them to use!🤘🏻-MW

When it comes to beer styles it can be tricky.
In the entirety of the Craft Beer Universe (CBU) there are popular and unpopular styles, these more common styles that bode well in the public eye and play favorites on the palate. Saison is not one of these these beers.
That sourdough mother culture has been cranking out tasty loaves for the past 5 years. Sticking true to the Beer Lab way we sent the yeast off to our friend Jeff Mello @bootlegbiology to isolate the most active yeasts in the culture.
