@MarcNixon24 Canada is in a much better underlying position than suggested. Newfoundland currently produces 292,000 barrels per day which could be shipped to refineries in Montreal and Sarnia for Quebec and Ontario.

@KirkLubimov She left out a few possibilities. Newfoundland crude up St. Lawrence → Quebec, Quebec already has marine crude facilities and substantial refining capacity. Refined gasoline, diesel and jet fuel can then move west from Quebec into Ontario using an existing pipeline.
