It's 9:00 AM on Saturday morning and I have a frozen DiGorno Supreme Pizza in the oven. I am also a chronic and acute Pain patient with a broken Back that is prescribed Morphine, (35 mg./day) but I prefer 7-OH and Kratom Powder (leaf) Caps. Am I a junkie?
Snippet from the Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Youth Exposure to Kratom and Retail-Available Substances in Georgia on 8.21.26.
Michelle Au: Just to be clear, the definition of an opioid is something that acts at the opioid receptor. That is literally the definition of what opioid is.
Mac Haddow: I respectfully disagree representative. There is no way that the FDA calls an opioid or scientists call it an opioid, the Mitragynine. They don't do that. And this is an absurdam example, but cheese operates at the opioid receptor level because of the content of cheese. It is why pizza is the most popular food in America because it stimulates people because of activity to mu receptors. We do not call cheese an opioid.
Me: Gets pizza for dinner at least once a week and gets high on cheese.
Fโing disgusting.
