@james_d @JetBlue Had this exact thing happen to me 6/12. RNO->DEN->LGA, ground stop @ LGA. Told ATC short staffed, then weather. Diverted to PIT. Deplaned, gate & ticket agents refused to help. Luckily United CSRs we able to assist after about 90 mins on hold, continued on to EWR next morning 1/2

@ClayTravis As long as they’re not rooting against the US, I’m fine with it. I don’t think anyone would have had a problem with their reps wearing a Cabo Verde jersey, for example. Hell, I’d rather my reps wear a Mexico jersey than a Seahawks, Rams or Cardinals jersey!

@marcjoffe You think that’s bad? My dad left Staten Island University Hospital AMA after THREE DAYS in the ER waiting for a ID consult…which later turned out to be a false positive b/c of lab contamination. All over the US hospital ERs are overwhelmed because of the influx of illegals.

@MurrayHillGuy1 How “Hybrid” is hybrid? If he needs to only be in the office a couple times a month, I’d take the job, keep the place in FL & commute. May be able to keep FL residency for tax purposes & only pay NY vig on days in office. If not, I’d still take the job & live on Staten Island.

@dtmorgan18 LOL. The Pineapple and Grapefruit Sculpins are delicious 🍻. But my wife works right down the street from there, so we’d go a couple of times a month. It was ALWAYS dead, even on Warriors’ game days. Folks under 40 don’t drink IPAs, breweries are down bad right now.

@emmymrtin cities but Ferry service ends too early. The Peninsula is a slightly upgraded version of New Jersey, and the South Bay is lame as hell. San Francisco is an incredible city, but the rest of the Bay Area isn’t worth the COL or CA taxes. Buy in Reno and visit SF whenever you like.

@emmymrtin Therein lies the dirty little secret about the Bay Area: outside of SF proper, it’s a terrible place to live. Expensive as hell, beyond overcrowded, nightmare traffic, lousy public transit, and unsafe in many areas. The Least Bay is mostly a war zone. Marin has some decent 1/2

@RikiRealEstate Lots of details missing here. I assume her remote tech job qualified her for either a skilled worker (or digital nomad during Covid) visa, which isn’t available to everyone. EU Permanent residency also requires proof of significant assets + 3 years tax returns. Total puff piece.
