@sayorichud@rrjashim Because it's core to his cooldown rotation, Having abilities that are clearly meant be an iframe on startup not iframe is a very glaring oversight for a melee dps. It messes up setups and nuanced play, especially the higher you climb. Imagine if fox tp had startup.
@1Deiti@LytePk Bro don't call something easy to do and then proceed to recommend the most unrelated thing the hero needs. His tp and ball need to have their startups addressed and his ult doesn't spawn minions in the correct range. He doesn't need more overshield at all.
This is one of the many fundamental issues with Marvel Rivals balance philosophy.
Any time we have overpowered characters, it takes moths to get them nerfed, if they even do. Then, in the same patch where they’re finally nerfed, they pick a different group of characters to disproportionately buff.
Every season, if we want to win games consistently, we’re forced to shift over to whatever characters are hard meta that month because they’re incapable of just nerfing overpowered characters and bringing them in line with everyone else. For some reason it has to be this merry go-round of broken characters that happens across every role. It’s exhausting.
It’s another symptom of only doing significant balance patches at the start of each season. It creates pressure to shake up the meta significantly instead of targeted smaller patches every couple of weeks that dial in the meta. It doesn’t take months for a meta to “settle”, that is just cope. It takes a week or less to figure out what’s strong and then another week after that to get a sense of how healthy the meta is.
Imagine if we got frequent patches that addressed real issues a bit at a time instead of placing all our hopes and dreams on bigger patches that always, always let us down.
@Moroatlis Melee dive dps actually forces you to play the game instead of hide behind cover and heal tanks simulator.
Most of the playerbase is already too addicted to sustain to acknowledge we need to shift away from this playstyle like yesterday.
@Moroatlis when punish/Hawkeye were one shotting supports through ults with base kit it was no issue but when Spider-Man does a animation cancel to pull you across the map when its the most noticable and counter able play in the world its an issue
@Moroatlis when mag is invincible and can 3 tap people it's chill because supports aren't effected but when BP uses his entire kit +50h of playtime to not even kill a support suddenly it's a big issue and there's no counterplay
White Fox would be so cool if she could double jump or wall climb, she doesn’t need to be able to do both like Black cat.
I want more movement and playmaking in Marvel Rivals and less hold one button gaming for strategists.
These are the fuckwads that ruin mods and configs for everyone. And to those saying "oh it's not a competitive advantage," they literally abuse these things to climb from Plat to Celestial — these idiots need to be perma'd, no exceptions.
I have also put in over 12 hours on Gorr and I 10000% AGREE these are MAJOR problems with the hero that if changed wouldn't end up heavily impacting anything but just how smooth the character feels.
Melee DPS heroes should NEVER have such long start ups on dashes because you are in the middle of 6 people at all times random little things like a moonknight ankh completely shutting you down and killing you should NEVER happen.
BUT ONTOP OF ALL THAT- Gorr's rightclick doesn't work at all if the enemy is just walking , the uppercut from the minions will literally never hit and using the right click actually lowers your DPS because the minions don't shoot during it.
And to add to all of that his ult range to spawn the extra minions on enemies is way too short so you will never realistically get more than 1 or 2 minions which is very weak and lack luster.
All of these changes for Gorr are extremely minor quality of life and I hope the Devs can put them in before he goes live because this Hero is too cool to dismiss with random nonsense like this in his kit.
