It is with profound sadness that I learnt of the passing of the former President of Côte d'Ivoire, Mr Henri Konan Bédié.
On behalf of the Government and good people of the Republic of Sierra Leone, I extend our deepest condolence to the Bédié family, His Excellency President @AOuattara_PRCI and the people of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.
An astute politician and diplomat, former President Henri Konan Bédié played a very crucial role in facilitating the holding of the peace talks between the Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone and the Revolutionary United Front in Abidjan and Yamoussoukro, Republic of #cotedivoire in 1996.
His great efforts along with other nobles in Sierra Leone and the ECOWAS region culminated in the Abidjan Peace Agreement between the Government of the Republic of #SierraLeone and the Revolutionary United Front on 30 November 1996.
We appreciate and thank Mr Bédié for being a friend to Sierra Leone and her people.
May his soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
Well done chief. U make we all proud. Razor thin victory in an opposition stronghold. After all the rogue. Tomorrow na new day. Make we move. #Gbaingbain
My Freetown People, here is my brief statement following the announcement of the Mayoral results today. Thank you for the love and support. #GbainGbain#SierraLeoneDecides2023
The woman who deceived the nation with fake blood is the same woman who has an imaginary projection of 66.5% from the same Party which deceived the nation about new data from ECSL......Elections are now over, stop the drama and focus on addressing the challenges in our city.
The indelible mark you have left on the politics of Western Area will never be erased. My sincere commiseration to a brother and great friend, Mohamed Gento Kamara. Our trust in you to fix Freetown remains undiminished! Congratulations to @yakisawyerr and best wishes.
Tok N Do. His message to you is what he lives for. Character matters when you choose a leader. Vote Julius Maada Bio, Vote Gento Kamara and Vote for SLPP.

It was ridiculous that one of my new-found friends stated that a Mayor had to be an eloquent speaker with a master’s grasp of the English language. Since when did English become the basis of Intelligence and eloquence became equal to efficiency?
