Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug networks, Punjab Police arrested 91 drug smugglers and recovered 910 grams of heroin, 285 intoxicant tablets/capsules, and ₹5.07 lakh in drug money from their possession.

In a major breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police busts a cross-border illegal arms and drug smuggling module, apprehends two accused, and recovers 2.225 kg heroin, 6 sophisticated pistols, and 12 live cartridges.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the arrested accused were in contact with cross-border smugglers and were allegedly receiving consignments of heroin for further distribution to criminal elements in #Punjab.
FIRs have been registered at PS Chheharta and PS Cantonment, #Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages and identify other members associated with the network.
