@GMB Very well except that the school in question allows use of phones for class quizzes…..so not a school ban. Conceptually the right direction but really education is needed for all on this topic, teach the why, not just ban

@michael_merrick Tomorrow I’m being hauled into council offices at a time that suits several LA directors to explain a deficit caused by lack of SEND funding. I’ll do this with volunteering leave whilst they all earn a wage. I’m tempted to invoice for services above the expectations of my roles

@bphillipsonMP @CMcKinnellMP @Lola__McEvoy Except they posted a £40k deficit in 22/23, expenditure is 102% of their income. At that rate in 4yrs they will have no reserves. Support staff costs through the roof and growing. Funding doesn’t match - same picture for all schools. Fix the funding. Eg. £12k gap per SEN child

@SteveReedMP Can you explain what labour did in their last administration to stop this? It’s been going on for years, Victorian set up, not just the last 14yrs. Smart monitoring would help, at least give you the ability to measure (you can’t now)

Or home school your child if you can do better
