In terms of pure excitement levels, the last two nights of soccer action rank highly on my list of exciting moments in 2019:
1.) Scheduling a new dental appointment.
2.) Adjusting TV picture quality settings.
3.) Switching from Kavanagh's to Flahavans oats.
4.) UCL semis.
Another terrific session of snooker to come this evening. Thank God I got up early to replace the high efficiency air filter in my hoover and now I can relax and watch it. One less thing to worry about this week.
Staying up to watch the Super Bowl and I'm glad I did. I've been watching for 4 hours now and there has been one score. Terrific viewing. Normally on a Sunday evening I prepare my overnight oats and go to bed at 8pm. Life is not all about following the rules.
Up early today so I could tick off some items on my to do list:
Adjust TV picture quality settings ✅
Pre arrange work clothes for week commencing 21/01/19 ✅
Prepare overnight oats in the morning to ensure stress free Sunday evening ✅
Settle in for the snooker ✅
Last night Westmeath beat Dublin in a football match. It was unexpected, but one must take into account that Dublin are not playing to their full potential yet.
Tip 4: Peer pressure / personal decision making: A common theme of "stag dos" is feeling pressured into doing what the "cooler" @lieutenantdin members of the group do. Try to avoid these people and always have your wits about you.
@shaneydoyle Hi Shane, I hear you have a "stag do" upcoming. My apologies but I can't make it. I have a match on Monday that I would like to stay fresh for. Here is a thread of safety hints and tips for gentlemen frequenting stags:
Tip 3: Plan well in advance. As gentlemen become gradually more inebriated, a good structured plan is worth its weight in gold. Sub Tip 3: pre read reviews online of reliable taxi drivers in the area of your visit. Arrange collection at a sensible time.
It is imperative that everyone keeps an eye on safety updates from local and national authorities during flurries of inclement weather. I have selected the twitter option "turn alerts on" to ensure that I don't miss updates. #weatheraware#StaySafe#StormEmma
Our Dowling Cup campaign begins today. It will consist of 3 group games and should we secure adequate results, we will advance to a knock out stage. Carbohydrates on board. Porridge. Skimmed milk. No sugar. No honey. Glass of plain water.
@llpoolh Hi Bryan. Thank you for your tweet. I always enjoy the interaction (or "banter" as I believe the youth call it) with my friends on social media.
#ThrowBackThursday I always felt I was very trendy when I was younger. Sometimes I worry about appearance now but then I remind myself that it's just social propaganda dictating again and that reassures me. #FlaresOverFade
@shaneydoyle Hi Shane, thank you for liking my previous tweet. I have followed you (not literally of course!!). Looking forward to the weeks, months and years ahead connecting on social media with you. All the best, Eoghan.
