@TulsiGabbard Boys in elementary schools do not produce sperm and girls do not produce eggs. Stop these uneducated "educators" who do not know human biology.
@LouieKlein_ I think it is a significant rotational inertia of the wheels. My colleague believes that students started stopwatch earlier than the cart starts moving.
@a_freeparticle Great set of problems, thank you. Just change a picture for #8, please, to avoid the vertical part of the wall on the right or you need to give its height due to the zero friction.

@BarnettDreyfuss It is a resonance tube with a broken main part - the tube itself. The wider glass tube connects to the metal cup with a hose. By moving metal cup you can change a water level in the glass pipe that is broken in your remnants of the apparatus.
I made a better setup for my planetary transit demo using @VernierST Centripetal Force Apparatus and @VernierST Light Sensor and converted it to an astronomy lab. Worked great, students were excited.

My new blog post on modeling planetary transit lab using Vernier equipment. This lab was a big success in my Astronomy IB class. #Vernier#Astronomy_Education https://t.co/zxDEsnQGQu

@CNickerson912 Great. If you zoom in, you will see almost perfect graph for friction force vs time, which in reality friction vs applied horizontal force.
Today we try to find coefficients of friction a new way that was proposed by one lab group of students. We used constant velocity carts to move different blocks and looked at the graphs of friction that we got with @VernierST force probes. #APP1#physics
