GMMTV’s actions make it seem as though Myanmar’s culture is too insignificant to deserve proper credit or respect. Our country may be smaller in the eyes of some people, but that does not make our history, traditions, or cultural heritage any less valuable.

Taking elements of Myanmar’s traditional culture without properly acknowledging their origins is deeply disrespectful. It feels as though pieces of our identity are being taken one by one, as if our cultural heritage does not matter simply because we are a smaller country.

Our culture is not yours to take without recognition. Our heritage is not yours to use without respect.

Myanmar people have supported and appreciated GMMTV, but that support does not mean we should remain silent when our cultural heritage is not properly acknowledged. We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for basic respect, proper research, and clear credit where it is due.

GMMTV, please stop treating Myanmar’s cultural heritage as something that can be overlooked. Acknowledge its origins, respect our identity, and take responsibility. Myanmar deserves recognition, not silence.

We believe that cultural elements should be treated with respect, and their origins should be properly acknowledged when they are referenced or incorporated into entertainment productions.

Our concern is not about opposing Thai entertainment or attacking the actors involved. Rather, it is about cultural respect, historical accuracy, and the importance of acknowledging the heritage associated with traditional designs. When costumes appear closely related to another country's historical attire, the production team should address these concerns transparently instead of allowing misunderstandings to continue.

Therefore, we respectfully call on GMMTV and the production team to:
