MPs made a total mess of policing our own expenses resulting in a crisis in 2009 and they are in exactly the same place today, policing privileges.
Just as we handed over expenses to IPSA we should hand over privileges to an independent body. MPs are neither qualified nor able to operate without political bias when dealing with individuals in the house, that has been categorically proven recently and is being so again today.
