Amazon MGM is no longer releasing Luca Guadagnino's βARTIFICIALβ, a biopic about OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
The studio says the film will be better served at a different studio. It is important to note OpenAI inked a major partnership with Amazon recently.

βit just shuts off the part of my brain that wants to know more about this worldβ
So true, its probably the reason no AI generation in the past years is memorable enough to be remembered.
"We already live in a world where you walk outside and there are billboards & signs that are obvious AI slop. Thatβs become part of our visual reality. To me, generative AI feels less like innovation than a symptom of a broader cultural and economic rot"

'Backrooms' director Kane Parsons isn't a fan of generative AI
"If I could snap my fingers and make generative AI disappear forever, I probably would"
"Creatively, I get no enjoyment from using those tools. It defeats the purpose entirely for me"
He thinks there may be uses in tedious VFX labor 'but right now it's difficult to discuss objectively because there's so much at stake and so many genuinely harmful consequences already happening"

Sam Raimi was 20 when he made The Evil Dead
David Lynch was 25 when he made Eraserhead
So why are someone people (jealous, loser millennials) now pretending Kane Parsons (20) and Curry Barker (26) are too young to be, and incapable of, directing a film?
