Aidan Miller will have surgery Friday to treat discogenic pain and facet inflammation in the lumbar spine, according to the #Phillies. He will rest for one week, then return to his rehab with the goal to return to game activity in 6-8 weeks.
I wish the A.J. story ended differently in Philly but man, hard to argue what he gave us and just how much that trade paid off. I'm not vindictive and I'm not mad at him. Go chase your HOF numbers.
Bader has one season in the last five years with an OPS over .657. His OPS+ is 59 this year. Everyone complains about Garcia but wants to potentially bring Bader back? He's basically batting the same as Castellanos. I don't get this.
If you can bring Harrison Bader back, would you bring him back?
Bader in CF
Crawford in LF
Marsh in RF
Garcia as a defensive replacement
Bader is hitting .167/.196/.363 with 5 HR and 13 RBI, and has the rest of this yr & next at $10.2 Mil
Maybe SF willing to grab a low-level prospect to get out of money.

Phillies offense still stinks. 13 times they've been held to 1 or 0 runs. 0-7 with RISP today. Seriously feels like they only went on the run they did because of the competition. These Padres and Dodgers series could be ugly.
It's kind of incredible that for a franchise that has had Steve Carlton, Robin Roberts, Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee and Zack Wheeler that we might be witnessing the greatest Phillies pitching season ever if Sanchez keeps this up.
@mdschaeff I did see somebody suggest Dombrowski could take a big swing with prospects considering he may not be here after this season and I really do think it's possible if a name is available. But I do think they'll add at least another outfielder.

@ByCSauertieg The last two off seasons have definitely taken some of the shine off of it all but I mean they’re not really here without him too. He didn’t do enough in the winter and I think it’ll ultimately be what separates him from the team but let’s stop connecting false dots
I’m not touching on all the points made here overall but people need to stop suggesting Aaron Nola was chosen over Ranger Suarez. There’s no correlation there at all and it’s blatantly false.
So Dombrowski:
✅Signed Nola to one of the worst contracts in baseball
✅in doing so had to let Ranger Suarez go
✅Signed Max Kepler last year, Adolis Garcia this year in his revolving door of RF
✅released Castellanos and Walker. So $37 million just unused.
(There’s more!)
@ByCSauertieg Yeah lol. And like, I dislike dombrowski’s approach this past offseason and maybe even last year’s, but he got us a good Sanchez contract, reupped Schwarber, acquired Duran, acquired marsh, acquired and extended luzardo.
