According to police and prosecution records, Tampa Police identified #Lions CB Terrion Arnold as the primary conspirator in a targeted armed robbery and kidnapping on Feb. 4 that left three victims injured after they were held at gunpoint, beaten, and pistol-whipped.
Authorities say the attack was retaliation for a theft of more than $250,000 worth of property from an Airbnb Arnold was renting, but police later determined the victims had no involvement in that theft.
@yawncaballero@Gadsby49@PierreVLeBrun Right so he’s fired, but still gets to collect his paycheck. Which is normal in every major sport when a coach is fired, what’s not normal is the team holding him hostage from interviewing with other teams. Seems like a normal process in the NHL, but is still stupid.
@philkesselson@Gadsby49@PierreVLeBrun Ya seems like it, once the playoffs end he’ll have plenty of suitors. And it looks like John Torterlla had to deal with the same issue (Vegas requested permission to interview him and Philly granted it) so it’s not uncommon in the NHL. Just such a crazy concept to me lol
@Gadsby49@PierreVLeBrun Ya this is the stupidest reasoning I’ve ever heard. They fired the man but somehow he is still “under contract”? I get that he gets paid out the agreed upon salary even if he’s fired, but I really don’t like that they can hold him hostage from interviewing with other teams
@PhilaBCoulter If this is truly the asking price, the flyers would immediately hang up the phone lol. They weren’t willing to trade Porter for any big fish this deadline, not sure why they would do it for Auston Matthews at arguably his lowest trade value
@ArcainiLuke@Paul_CasellaMLB According to Google, NYM reliever Craig Anderson on May 12, 1962 won both games of a double header and both games ended in walkoff homers
@flyers0819@ADiMarco25 I think in the future the Mich/Martone line will be a thing, but Mich prefers the right side as does Martone so I don’t think it’ll be something they try during this playoff run
