The Nighthawks have acquired defenceman Evan Bortis from the Nipawin Hawks of @theSJHL! Evan brings a complete two way game and a healthy dose of snarl to #theMJ.

Welcome to Niverville, Evan!

Time for another @ViterraCanada player Q&A, this time with @SJHL_Hawks Evan Bortis!

[SJHL @theSJHL]

We are thinking of the family of Dylan Ashe today. You and all of the @SJHL_Mustangs and their friends have our deepest sympathies.

[Clark Stork @ClarkStork]

Carson Erhardt made it 3-0 with his ninth before Flon bounced back to cut the lead to 3-2.

Props to 17-year-old Evan Bortis for dropping the mitts with 19-year-old Easton Haygarth.

[Anthony Furey @anthonyfurey]

It's been mentioned that Cherry often says "you people" in a completely generic way, that it's just how he talks and has nothing to do with race. Someone in our office just dug up this example:

Hawks defeat the @SJHL_Mustangs 3-0 in the road this evening. Ethan Slobodzian with his second straight shutout to begin the season.

Beautiful ⁦@PGCougars ⁩ ice install by the awesome CN Centre staff. Our sold-out hockey school kids just minutes away from being the first ever to touch the 2019-2020 season ice!

Kawhi should get a standing ovation every single time he plays in Toronto for the rest of his life. There shouldn't be a single boo ever.

What a moment. #NHLAwards

[Luke Dyer @LukeDyer90]

@saskcontacts The world will miss you Les! Rest In Peace to a great man who did so much for the people around him

[Evan Bortis @Bortis_10]

@saskcontacts Les always had the biggest smile and the best jokes when he walked into the rink. Thoughts and prayers are with the Gogol family❤️

[Saskatoon Contacts @saskcontacts]

The Saskatoon Contacts lost a member of our family today.
Rest In Peace my friend.
Our thoughts are with the Gogol Family tonight.
