NATIONAL RECORD - the Nigerian quartet of Samuel Ogazi, Ella Onojuvwevwo, Emmanuel Ifeanyi Ojeli and Patience Okon-George came very close to making the final of the Mixed 4x400m, running a brilliant race to finish 4th in their heat, running a new Nigerian Record of 3:11.99.

They just narrowly missed out on a place in the final, but they did put up a good show, running against Great Britain who won in an NR of 3:10.61. Netherlands finished 2nd in a time of 3:10.81 and Italy 3rd in 3:11.59.
