Once again I say this, You travel to other countries and realize Ghana has nothing extra to offer when it comes to tourism, not because we don’t have the potential but because we have failed as a country to build on the resources we have. We have zero maintenance culture, we do not take care of our tourist attractions. The roads to most of our tourist destinations are poor, no infrastructural development of the destinations we have, our beaches in our capital city are nothing to write home about. We want to be like the West so bad we’ve lost our culture, lots of Ghanaians are even shy to rock traditional wears, meanwhile other countries are using their culture to promote tourism sigh. You visit other countries and the beaches have so much to offer but over here nothing. Now the only thing Ghana is mostly known for is night life , we’re gradually killing our tourism industry, that’s if it’s not already dead. When the day comes when we no longer get much tourists and other African countries who have made the effort to promote their tourism start getting all the attention we will start complaining and shift blames, as that is what we’re good at.
