Further update. Child still in a much needed hospital bed and a shouty dr has informed me she is escalating the matter to the Secretary of State. I wonder if she realised she’d have better luck approaching Paul Daniels ffs 🤦‍♀️

This morning I agreed to accommodate a 15yo, self harming and abandoned on Xmas Day. The hospital need the bed but by this evening, there is NOT ONE FRICKEN PLACEMENT available in the WHOLE DAMN COUNTRY who will take her. I can’t work like this

Update. Child still in hospital and staff are furious that social care haven’t ‘sorted’ a placement yet, so have threatened to escalate matters to the MP. Yup that’ll sort it, he’s got loads of placements up his sleeve 🙄
